Secure Storage
Gold awaiting shipment is held in an access-controlled vault environment with continuous surveillance, restricted dual-authorisation entry, and climate control appropriate to bullion and doré storage. Stock is reconciled against a running custody ledger before and after every movement, so the recorded holding always matches what is physically in the vault.
Shipment Procedure
- Assay & Weighing — Every consignment is weighed and, where required, assayed in the presence of the client’s representative before packaging begins, with results recorded on a signed weight-and-purity certificate.
- Tamper-Evident Sealing — Gold is packed and sealed in numbered, tamper-evident bags or boxes; any seal broken before scheduled handover voids the custody chain and triggers immediate investigation.
- Documentation — A shipment manifest, weight certificate, export permit and certificate of origin are prepared and matched to the sealed consignment number before it leaves the vault.
- Dual-Custody Handover — Every transfer between vault, vehicle, port or aircraft is signed for by two authorised custodians, one from TriForge and one receiving, with the seal number verified at each point.
- Insured, Escorted Transit — Movement takes place in GPS-monitored vehicles, with armed escort available on request, under insurance cover matched to the declared value of the shipment.
- Customs Clearance — Our compliance team manages export clearance directly with the relevant Sierra Leone authorities, so the shipment moves without avoidable delay at the border, port or airport.
- Delivery & Reconciliation — On arrival, seals are verified against the manifest in the presence of the receiving party before final sign-off, closing the custody chain.
Compliance & Provenance
Every gold shipment is subject to Know-Your-Customer and Anti-Money-Laundering checks, with provenance documentation prepared to satisfy the compliance requirements of international refiners and bullion banks. We work directly with clients to assemble the export permits and certificates required for their specific destination market.
